One hour later her water broke. We headed to hospital and on the way called Geno. They put us in a room hook her up to a lot of wires and machines. Geno showed up twenty minutes later, the nurses seemed surprised that a black guy was in the room with the husband and wife. I asked the good looking blonde nurse if Doctor was here. She told me they called him and when baby was close then he’d show up. Every hour that went by I asked if he was at the hospital always told no. After five hours and my wife moaning every five or ten minutes I was concerned but not the nurses. Finally one told me the first baby takes time before they enter the world. The nurses figured out Geno was the baby Dad because he was holding her hand as I set in a chair by window. The sun was coming up when the doctor walked in, took look at her and told us it be another hour or two turned went out. Hour later nurse came in went out fairly quick and few minutes later Doctor and four nurses came in. My sweet young wife was breathing hard short breaths, Doctor told us it was very close, I got video camera stood behind Doctor. The one good looking nurse instructed wife when to breathe and when to push. I seen the top of baby head and could tell it was Geno’s by matted hair. The next push the head was out, Geno was looking at the mirror behind us with a huge smile, next thing I seen was one arm the another next push half baby was out. I was focusing on getting it all but I realized about ten nurses were now in the room. By the time I refocused the baby was out being handed off to the blonde nurse holding it up so my wife could see, then turned to the other nurses. They took baby to another small table wiping him off. I was surprised the baby was more white then black but everyone in room knew the husband was not the baby father. The doctor told me and Geno to leave while he work on my wife telling us to come back in thirty minutes. When we went back the blonde nurse and another one was helping my wife try to nurse the baby. The baby was 8lbs 4 oz boy a full head of hair.
The next day we picked up mom and baby went home. Geno stayed with us for five days helping with his baby.
